Few facts on the Romanian
Contemporary Ceramic Art:
- it is only partially explored by both the local artists and the public;
- there is a lack of communication between the younger generation and the well established ceramists;
- very few Romanian ceramists seem to be active on the international art scene;
- the local ceramic art’s role needs to be reconsidered in the context of Romania’s forthcoming integration into the EU structures;
- it has all the chances of becoming a dynamic cultural vehicle for assisting the country’s
re-branding effort;
Project Objectives:
- open the communication lines for the Romanian contemporary ceramics to the public at large;
- encourage the local community of ceramists to initiate a dialog with the regional and international ceramic art associations, publications and opinion leaders;
- promote and facilitate international cultural exchanges and visits;
- involve the local and international media in the initiative;
- attract younger generation of artists and students for becoming more actively involved and interested in project oriented activities;
